JOB DESCRIPTION
Escofet by Molins transforms cities and enhances the use of public spaces through the design and industrialization of urban elements and architectural concrete. We are closely linked to Barcelona, but we project our Mediterranean character internationally, present in avenues, parks, streets, and squares around the world.
We contribute to comprehensive urban design projects, creating urban landscapes through our activity lines: Urban Life (urban elements), Lighting (public lighting), Walking (pavements), and Building (architectural concrete).
We are currently seeking a motivated and qualified US Director for the Urban Landscape business, located in Oklahoma, under the Escofet brand, which transforms cities and promotes the use of public space through the design and industrialization of urban elements and architectural concrete. Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Escofet.
WHAT WILL YOUR DUTIES BE?
Among other main responsabilities, we highlight the following:
Factory Creation Project Management:
- Coordination and Supervision: Coordinate and oversee the planning and execution of the factory construction project, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, environmental standards, and local regulations.
- Detailed Planning: Collaborate in the creation of a detailed construction plan, including timelines and estimated costs.
- Budget Management: Manage the assigned budget (Capex of $5 million), ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Supplier and Contractor Relations: Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors, ensuring timely acquisition of necessary materials and equipment.
- Periodic Reporting: Report to Escofet's General Management, providing periodic updates on project progress, budgetary and timeline deviations, identified issues, and implemented corrective actions.
Factory Commissioning and Management:
- Hiring and Supervising Personnel: Hire and supervise the necessary personnel for factory operations, with an initial team of 10 workers growing to 30-40 workers within two years.
- Operational Procedures: Establish and maintain efficient and safe operational procedures in accordance with Escofet's General Management guidelines.
- Maintenance Management: Manage preventive and corrective maintenance of facilities and machinery.
- Health and Safety Policies: Implement health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Technical Guidelines: Follow technical instructions and guidelines provided by the headquarters in Spain for product manufacturing.
- Production Supervision: Oversee and coordinate daily production, ensuring that production targets in terms of volume, quality, and delivery schedules set by the headquarters are met.
- Materials Management: Ensure the availability and efficient flow of materials required for manufacturing, supervise inventory levels, and coordinate the receipt and storage of materials in the factory.
- Quality Audits: Participate in internal and external quality and regulatory compliance audits, taking corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
